A place for silence and for meeting
The Infant and Primary oratory at Colegio Santa María del Pilar is far more than a physical space within the school. It is a place of gathering, of silence and of inward growth, accompanying pupils through a formative stage of their lives. In it, children come to discover that education is not only the acquiring of knowledge but reaches into the spiritual, emotional and communal dimensions of a person.

The design proposed by Clara del Río centres on a single curved piece in oak. It houses the tabernacle and works as a gentle focal point, softening the corners of the room.
It is completed by furniture from the Miniblanche collection, which pairs solid timber with lacquers in a range of finishes. The set comprises an extended bench, a cupboard for guitars, two seating units with shelves for shoes, three shelf units and two coat racks.
